Pahrump’s 8th Annual Pumpkin Patch

This year’s annual pumpkin patch successful in raising a large amount of funds for the PDOP.

If you enjoy having fun, the Pahrump’s annual PDOP was the place to be!

October 20th marks the beginning of this local popular event. Going strong for 8 years now, this enjoyable occasion raises money for Pahrump’s Disability Outreach Program, which donates a majority of the profits made to helping special needs children.

The family fun festivities lasted from Friday, October 20th, to Sunday, the 22nd, and costs was $5 for a day’s admission, and $10 for a weekend pass.

During this weekend, people participated in countless activities that, frankly, were actually quite fun for all ages. There were so many attractions, that I didn’t know where to start!

A few popular activities include the haunted house, a challenging hay maze, a cute petting zoo, and hayrides. Activities the children especially enjoyed the face painting and pony rides.

Children especially enjoy climbing and playing on the event’s hay pyramid.

Not only was there tons of stuff to do, there was also a wide variety of pumpkin and fall-themed items and consumables to buy.

The major events were the 5K monster dash, and the first ever PDOP Pumpkin Pageant.

The 5k Monster Dash is a family fun walk that includes prizes and a free pass to the pumpkin patch if you participate. Entries cost as low as $10 for students and $70 for an entire family. Of course, proceedings went to the same charity.

Pahrump’s first pumpkin pageant—autumn themed, of course—focused on children showing off their own costumes, talents, and personalities for awesome prizes. Ages ranging from 3 to 12 participated, and the event was held on October 20th at 6:00 P.M. for an entry fee of $35. First place won $100.

What better way to kick off the fall season than with this fantastic family-oriented event?
