2018 Movies!

New movies are hitting the theaters this summer and it’s going to be the greatest collection of summer movies ever! From action, to horror, and all the way to drama, to comedy and we promise you these movies will draw you in!

Deadpool 2

   The sequel of Deadpool from 2016 will be released Friday, May 18. Directed by David Leitch and based of on the 1990’s Marvel Comics; it’ll be starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and other famous stars. The movie tells the story of Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) who goes through experimental treatments to cure his cancer that changes his life forever. He receives amazing healing powers and a new mission to get revenge with help from other heroes to face his comic book rival Caleb(Josh Brolin).

Incredibles 2

   Years of waiting for your favorite superhero family are final over. Incredibles 2 debuts out in theaters June 15, 2018. The plot of the story now focuses on Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) and her adventure as a superheroine while her husband, Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) is sitting back and watching their 3 kids. Wow…it’s been 14 years since the first one came out. Feel old yet?

Ocean’s 8

   Village Roadshow Pictures in association with Warner Bros Pictures are releasing a new comedy heist titled Ocean 8, starring Oscar-award winning actresses Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, and other popular movies stars. The planned release date is June 8, 2018. Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) attempts to form a female team to pull off the greatest heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Their aspiration, a necklace worth more than $150 million.

The First Purge   

   Have you ever thought about how the first Purge came about? The fourth movie of The Pure debuts this summer on July 4, 2018. This one is about the new Founding Fathers of America testing a sociological theory that allows citizens to vent their aggression for one night in an isolated community for the very first time. Actors are Y’Ian Noel, Marisa Tomei, Joivan Wade, Lauren Velez, Melonie Diaz, and many more. Do you think you can last 24 hours in the Purge?

   Hereditary

Hereditary is the next supernatural horror movie written and directed by Ari Aster will be released June 8, 2018. The movie focuses on the Graham family that begins to discover terrifying and cryptic secrets about their family’s history after the passing of Annie’s (Toni) mother and her children’s grandmother. Starring Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Ann Dawd, Milly Shapiro, and Gabriel Byrne. As they make more discoveries about their family is past, learning they must escape a frightening fate.    

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

   Directed by J.A. Bayona and starring Chris Pratt (Owen Grady), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing), Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm), and more hit stars, in theaters June 12, 2018, the movie continues from the first. The Jurassic Theme Park was closed, and the dinosaurs were allowed to live freely until a volcano threatening the species calls for humanity to take action. Owen and Claire have a new mission, to save the remaining dinosaurs on the island.   

Disney’s Christopher Robin

   If you look at the title, you can see that that name is familiar in the Disney company. Yes, if you guessed Winnie the Pooh’s human friend Christopher Robin, then you’re right. After all these years, Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) finally reunited with his old pal, Winnie the Pooh (Jim Cumming) and the rest of his friends like Tigger (Chris O’Dowd) and Piglet (Nick Mohammed) now as an adult. The movie will be  released August 3, 2018 in all theaters. Bring honey for Winnie when you come to the movie!

Slenderman

   If you remember the times where you were a kid, Slender Man became a big fanatic, a scary supernatural, skinny man with tentacles… well now it’s a movie and it is coming to you in theaters August 24, 2018. Terror strikes when four teenage girls in a small town perform a ritual to debunk the lore of a tall, thin, horrifying figure known as the Slender Man. They soon fear that the legend is true when one of them suddenly goes missing. Remember how he was just a meme? Now he kidnaps humans.

The Meg

   Bringing the 70-foot megalodon to life, this sci-fi, action, and horror film directed by Jon Turteltaub, stars Jason Statham, Ruby Rose, Rainn Wilson, Cliff Curtis, Robert Taylor, and more. The movie is rated PG-13 for its gorey images and language. Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) must face the beast head-on that was once believed to be extinct to save those trapped in a sunken submersible including his ex-wife.
