On-stage versus on-screen, quite the debatable topic! Since both are so popular and have their very likeable aspects, this will be a tough competition. Let’s see who wins!

“On-screen is better! I can binge watch shows whenever I want and it costs much less money to watch shows on-screen,” said Tristan Coleman, Senior.

“I choose on-stage! Not just watching the show is great; you get a good vibe, get to be with family and friends, and you can grab a soda and enjoy the experience! Just the whole vibe is great,” said Mia Helinski, Junior.

“You can’t replace a live performance, so I would choose on-stage,” said Mrs. Nielsen, Drama and English 10 teacher.

“On-stage is better because it just feels more real,” said Jasmine Tarango, Sophomore.

“On-stage is my choice; you get to see and feel the emotion and more,” said Taylor Rice, Freshman.

“On-stage for sure; you can feel the energy in the theater! It changes every night and there are always little surprises!” Ms. Planck likes to call these surprises the “little gemstones” of a show!

“On-screen is better because it has a better feel and provides a more practiced experience,” said Madison Barham, Freshman.

Clearly, on-stage is more likeable than on-screen from creating a real experience to portraying the hard work of the actors to perfect each line, movement, and scene. On-screen gives an amazing perspective as well, but also lacks the experience of the real-life performance and how every single part of an on-stage show impacts our emotions.

I would choose on-stage because of my love of plays and musicals! I love acting on-stage in front of large audiences. It’s my dream profession!
