Mr. Cross explained that they, “provide food for all animals from an aardvark to a zebra. We also have many supplies, even clothing for the cowgirls and cowboys.” Their favorite part about working is “meeting people and helping take care of all kinds of animals and birds.” Mr. and Mrs. Cross’s business has many loyal customers who always come back. “People come for our quality products at reasonable prices; and friendly, helpful people who greet everyone with a smile.”  Mr. Cross went on to explain that Shadow Mountain Feed only has six employees who work for their local business. Mr. and Mrs. Cross are very involved in helping the youth, giving jobs to the youth who live locally. They are well known people in our community who are respected by many.

Mr. and Mrs. Cross have expanded Shadow Mountain Feed into the establishment that it is today. When asked about the responsibility of being owners, Mr. Cross responded with “Our responsibilities are keeping customers and employees happy, and having a good reputation in the community.” Mr. Cross disclosed that there are not many things they would like to change in their business, but that “We are always striving to meet our customers’ needs.”
