Legalizing Gay Marriage in Australia

Australia is the closest it’s ever been to legalizing gay marriage. 61% of Australians voted in favor of legalizing gay marriage. 79.5% of the country as a whole participated in voting for the legalization.

They have sent it to the lawmakers and they are currently debating on what to do about the matter. One of their biggest concerns is religious beliefs of the country as a whole.

Majority of Australians are ready for this change to become legal.
