Fortnite
January 18, 2018
Developers, Epic Games, has released a new survival based game called Fortnite. The game is set to be released worldwide for next gen consoles and PC. The game is overrun with zombies that have taken over 98 percent of the world. These monsters didn’t come from the ground though, they were made by a mysterious storm. This dangerous storm can use its powers to make a tornado’s and use them as portal of the underworld.
Players must collect certain pieces of equipment to make forts, traps, and weapons to stay alive, along with rescuing survivors from the armies of the undead. All the resources can be found anywhere as players go around completing quests and saving any survivors. You must know how to build quick if you’re in a bad situation. Weapons aren’t just given to you, everything is spread out across the map in chest or in abandoned buildings.
The game Fortnite can be bought so you’re able to play co-op with other individuals or friends in the story missions. Battle Royal is a part of Fortnite but it is free to download for everyone to play. The growth of the game has developers of a popular pc game Playerunknown’s BattleGrounds (PUBG) concerned. They believe that the new game will become the next top trend for the gamers.
Both games share a little bit of similarities with each other. They both play up to 100 players, and you can customize your player model. Playerunknown’s BattleGrounds gives you coins if you win or lose the game, it could either be a lot or very little depending on how much of the work you do.
Fortnite, however, does not give you coins but experience (XP) so you level up and earn rewards such as gliders, clothing, or different weapon skins. Players can purchase V-tech coins to buy any customizations from the in-game store of their choosing. PUBG lets you pick anything you want as long as if you have enough coins to afford anything.
Austin Akers, PVHS junior, said “The game is really fun to play but some of the new feature require you to pay for things with actual money which some people may not even have. I do believe that more people will play Fortnite but may come with a slight lost of players if the developers make any mistakes with the future updates.”
Personally, I think the game is really addicting and a great way to pass time. You always have to be focused and alerted to play the game if you’re playing solo. You are basically get an adrenaline rush when your health starts to hit one percent and you have no health packs to survive that last assassin’s sniper shot. If this game were to have a game series, I would expect it to have a better story. In the end it‘s a horde of zombies standing against you or a hundred people.

Fortnite is a great game, but you have to use every bit of your mom’s credit card to get all the cool skins like the “leviathan.” I, personally, can’t spend my parents’ money on some skin or glider. People need to save money and not buy the “tomatohead” skin. They should save their money for life and college so they can get an education and get money to spend on Fortnite.

Fortnite is an okay game.

Some of my friends play that game and they tell me it has bad graphics, but the Battle Royale is the most fun of the game. This is a very good article. I never have played this play but I might start to now.

I strongly agree with this article. Fortnite is an excellent game with a superb storyline. My personal favorite part of the game will have to be Battle Royale. The aspect is amazing and I like how the game developers constantly update the game. It shows that they are consistent and that they care about their players.

Ryan Cook argues that “Fortnite does not give coins but experience so you can level up,” but Fortnite gives you 100 virtual bucks when you get to certain levels in the game.

As Ryan Cook said, Fortnite could be a “top trending” game. Everyone who plays this game, says it is very addictive and fun to play with friends. Fortnite is the ranked number one trending game. I play this game on a regular basis and I love the graphics but mostly Battle Royale.

The description of Fortnite in the article is very accurate. The battle royale is the most popular part of the game; although, the article makes it seem as battle royale is a small part of the game.

This is a fairly well written article but I feel the focus should be more on battle royale and not the campaign that must be purchased. I think the only reason this game is as popular as it is, is not because of the campaign because as Ryan said it “[requires] you to pay for things with actual money which some people may not even have” but for the free pvp like PUBG. All in all, it makes some good points but does not relate to many because of the financial requirement.

The article is great description of Fortnite zombies but it lacks the other game modes known as 100 player pvp and holiday specials. In Fortnite, it gives you free v coins as you level up.

There’s more to Fortnite than just zombies.Tthere are three different modes you can play and an extra for the holidays or tests like solo mode, duo mode, and squad and the graphics are amazing. It never lags as bad as PubG. You can also play in party chats with two people all the way up to four.

Ryan argues that you can’t “earn coins…you have to buy them.” The games gives you coins for free and you can buy any item with them. For example, when you hit a high enough level, you get free coins and you can buy things with them. I haven’t paid for anything and I have 200 coins.

Fortnite is the single most addicting game ever. I love this game because not only do you get to compete with other players, but one can build epic towers as well. Other game developers can really be scared at this new developing game because “they believe that the new game will become the next top trend for the gamers.” This just proves how this new game is becoming the top game.

I agree with Ryan when he says “the game is very addicting.” This game is a lot of fun and it’s a great game for being free. Many games that are free aren’t that good; however, Fortnite is a great game.

The article was great as well as your description of the game was very good. As a person who has played the game I’ve not even thought of the background of the game so this is a great article to read to know about the game.

At first I thought the game looked boring, until enough people told me it’s a fun game. This article explains a lot more about the game , a lot of things that I did not know about the game. People say the game is addicting and now I can see why. Some day I will end up playing the game I hope.

I hear alot about the game. Have never played it before but I want to but I hear the graphics aren’t the best but thank you the article helped me make up my mind
Xzabian Simmons • Feb 9, 2018 at 11:50 AM
Bayn argues that “the graphics aren’t the best” but when you play it for yourself, you may find the graphics fit and made perfect for the game. Although, you disagree with the graphics, you are right about wanting to play this game and it’s free.
