The New Uprising

“I’m standing up I’mma face my demons, I’m manning up, I’mma hold my ground” – Eminem (Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known professionally as Eminem, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, record executive, and actor)

Eminem is one of the most mainstream rappers, and he is referred to as the ‘rap god.’ The backstory on this rappers life story and is loved by millions in his movie “8 Mile.”

His most known for his songs Slim Shady, Rap God, Mockingbird, and Not Afraid. His most famous album known by millions is, “The Marshall Mathers LP.” Eminem has three children by the names of Hailie Jade, Whitney Scott Mathers, and Alaina Marie Mathers.

Richard Colson Baker (Aka Machine Gun Kelly or MGK) is an upcoming rapper from Cleveland, Ohio. MGK has even been featured in a couple films such as in Viral, Punk’s Dead: SLC Punk 2 and Nerve.

MGK also has a daughter named Casie Colson Baker. He’s a single father to her and does his best to help and support her.

These two great rappers have come into a rap battle brought from hell above, Eminem vs. Machine Gun Kelly.

This “beef” meaning that they are having issues with people, started with a tweet MGK had posted in 2012 about Eminem’s daughter, Hailie, stating, “ok so I just saw a picture of Eminem’s daughter… and I have to say, she is hot as [expletive deleted], in the most respectful way possible cuz Em is king.”

6 years later Eminem drops his new album Kamikazee, which disses many rappers for ‘mumbling’ and how they don’t sound very good. The following people were “dissed” from Eminem directly: Drake, Lil Pump, Joe Budden, Machine Gun Kelly, Donald Trump, Charlamagne Tha God, Tyler, The Creator, Lil Xan, Lil Yachty, Vince Staples, Lord Jamar, and DJ Akademiks.

MGK was very quick to respond with an entire diss song for Eminem 3 days after the album had dropped. Fans everywhere are mind blown from the fact that MGK even responded to him.

Many reactors on YouTube thought MGK did a good job, and had some “fire lines” but, he pretty much committed suicide with his career if Eminem responds. The reasoning for them saying this is because MGK had gotten personal with him, and in a rap battle with Eminem you “never do that because he will destroy you,” according to YouTube reactor James Jefferson.

MGK hit touchy subjects in his single ‘Rap Devil’ like, “Already [expletive deleted] one rapper’s girl this week, don’t make me call Kim” referring to the drama going on between G-eazy. This is because a former girlfriend of G-eazy: Halsey got caught cheating on him with MGK.

MGK also states, “I think my dad’s gone crazy, yeah, Hailie, you right, Dad’s always mad cooped up in the studio, yellin’ at the mic,” which comes from the 19th song “My Dad’s Gone Crazy” in Eminem’s album The Eminem Show from 2002.

Now the real question is, will Eminem respond to these comments? Everyone is waiting for Eminem’s response and to see if he’ll ruin MGK.

In an interview with Eminem & Sway, Eminem says, “I dissed him for a pettier reason” also the fact that he mentioned Hailie in a tweet when she was only 16 at the time. Also in the interview, Eminem states that he might not respond to MGK at all, but he might just have to show him up.

People on social media think that this is all for publicity and MGK did it in hopes of becoming well known.

Personally, I think that MGK’s single “Rap Devil” had many good points, and was pretty good, but  I have always been a huge fan of both their music. If Eminem were to diss MGK, he would need to bring back the old “Slim Shady” to even match it.

I think everyone is waiting for Eminem’s response when and if he ever drops a diss track. Shots have been fired in this battle; let’s see if the war will begin.
