Pixar Homecoming

People got their boogy on at the Pixar themed dance. Homecoming was on September 1 at 7P.M. Hundreds of students attended the occasion to have fun and hang out with friends.
A single ticket, bought in advance, was $6. For a couple, $10. At the door it was $10 for a single ticket, but there was no couple special offered. Dylan Wright, a junior at Pahrump Valley High School, said prices were fair and not expensive. Mary Lasco, a senior, said the prices were a bit much for a single at the door.
There were Pixar logos and characters hung up all over the school during the proceeding week. Janneth Castillo, a freshman, said she loved the decorations, but there could be more decorations outside in the courtyard. You could get your picture taken in front of an ‘UP’ background in the library. Prices varied depending on the picture packet you wanted.
Mr. Williams was the DJ of the night. He let students request songs, if the song was school appropriate. Darcy Biermeyer, a senior, said “the music was garbage–you could not dance to any of it. Next time, they should have a playlist comprised of popular (and danceable) songs set up in advance, and occasionally add in good recommendations.”
Our Queen and King, Halie Souza and Nico Velazquez, attended the dance. They wore their sashes they won the night before, which was the homecoming football game, when the royalty was announced. Our Princesses and Princes also attended the dance in their sashes.
Snacks and drinks were available to buy at a concession stand inside the cafeteria. Mostly everything was a dollar, ranging from candy to water. Sofia Castro, a junior, said it was affordable and they had good selections to choose from.
Students dressed appropriately for the dance. For girls, dresses, skirts, heels or flats. Guys wore a tux or a dress shirt and pants with dress shoes. If students did not have proper apparel, they could go to the Trojan Trunk for the clothes or shoes they needed to complete their look. Overall, the first dance of the year was a success, and hopefully the rest will be as well.

The Pixar homecoming dance was a time and filled with bright colors as well as the “Pixar logos and characters hung up all over the school during the preceding week” and the art is still up at this time. It is a wonder to look at, your favorite movie characters plastered all over the walls that some may call a prison. It is a wonder to look at other people’s work that they should feel proud seeing their art in a familiar locale.

I would have to agree that the “prices were fair and not expensive” because it was a fair price for both parties, especially when it came to the couple prices. That saves enough money for the couple to buy drinks and beverages. People may say that $10 dollars is too much, but when you think about it, it’s a very good amount because of time and effort put into it.

I would have to agree that the “prices were fair and not expensive,” especially because most people paid the couples price. That saves enough money for the couple to buy beverages and snacks. People may say that $10 dollars is too much, but when you think about it, it’s a very good amount because of time and effort put into it.

I agree with what Mary Lasco when said that the prices are too much at the door. I think that they should not charge ten dollars at the door. Some of the kids that hadn’t gotten their ticket during the week that wanted to go may not because of the price. Some parents may only give their kid ten dollars for the whole night. Since they had to pay the ten at the door they have to deal with the thirst the whole time their at the dance. I think the ticket at the door should only be seven or eight dollars.
