Halloween Events

Halloween is upon us and all around the community different events are being planned for the occasions. From Trunk or Treats and, Haunted Acres, to Fireworks and Fall Family events, Pahrump is ready for Halloween!
These events are fun for kids, teens, families and the whole community and usually benefit the places that run them.
Haunted Acres, hosted by Nye Community Coalition, will take place October 25, 26, and 27. There will a Family Night on October 25 from 5PM to 8PM, $6 per child and parents are free. They will have a costume contest, trick or treating, a photo booth, and games. The actual haunted house will take place October 26 and 27 from 7PM to midnight. It will cost $7 per person and is recommended for kids ages 13 and up. Nye Community Coalition is located at 1020 E. Wilson Road by the school district building.
Pahrump Community Church is having a Fall Family Festival which is completely free for the community. Kids will be able to come, wear their costumes, play games, and get lots of candy. This event will be on October 27 and starts at 6PM.
There will be bounce houses, wagon rides, a cake walk, and even face painting. They’ll have candy but there will also be popcorn and cotton candy. People will perform different genres of live music. The games will be in different classrooms but some parts will be outside so be sure to bring a jacket. Pahrump Community Church is located at 1061 E. Wilson Road, across from the Nye Community Coalition.
Many different locations will be hosting Trunk or Treats before Halloween. First Southern Baptist Church will host a Trunk or Treat on October 27 from 1PM to 4PM this is located at 4180 Highway 160. The Pahrump Valley Auto Plaza’s Trunk or Treat be on October 27th from 6PM-9PM and is free, the event takes place 2060 E Charleston Park, next to Phantom Fireworks.
On Halloween night many other places will host Trunk or Treats. Pahrump Community Library will have trick or treating all day on the 31st starting at 9AM. Kids are allowed to wear costumes as long as they don’t have masks or weapons. Desert View Hospital will host a Trunk or Treat Halloween night as well, it will be in the parking lot from 4PM to 6PM and is free. Central Valley Baptist Church will be hosting one Halloween night, October 31. It’s free to attend and will be from 5PM until 7PM. In addition they will have hot dogs, popcorn, and snow cones. Children should wear costumes and bring bags for their candy.
DVH says all children should be accompanied by an adult. RNG Farms will also be hosting a Trunk or Treat from 4 to 6PM, with a petting zoo, The Gunfighters and featuring DJ Mary and Spooky Music. The event is located at 41 N. Highway 160, across from Petrack Park.
There will be fireworks on October 27 at various locations from 5PM to 11PM. People are allowed to launch their own fireworks in a safe area with proper supervision. Permits must be obtained from one of the five firework stores in Pahrump. The launch site is first come, first serve, and visitors have 30-minute time limit.
All over Pahrump people and companies will be hosting Halloween events on the Halloween weekend and some on Halloween night. Families, children, and the whole community can come together during these events in costumes, get candy, and have a great time. Happy Halloween!

I went to the Family Festival at PCC last year and it was so much fun, especially if you go with a group of friends; unfortunately I missed out this year, but the event is fun regardless. Great writing, Robin!
