While the world is going through a hard time, you can still find ways to be productive even if it is not easy. This could help you or a friend who is struggling and it can be done anywhere. Especially if you’re working from home.

Sometimes finding a good reason to wake up in the morning is not always easy. It’s hard to find ways to keep your body motivated, especially when it feels like there is nothing to look forward to.

What is Productivity?

Productivity is a useful tool for life. Productivity or the quality, state, or fact of being able to generate, create, enhance, or bring forth goods and services is useful for feeling like you are doing something with your life. At any point, a person could lose all productivity. Whether it be from a physical or mental illness, distractions in their life, or something else, it happens. Sometimes it is hard to get that back.

Why is Productivity Important?

Productivity is very useful and can sometimes make life easier in the future, “In simple terms, productivity is important because you can get more done. If you’re a productive person, you can do more with less time. That means you can take on harder, more important tasks. It also means that you have more time to do the things you enjoy like hobbies or spending time with friends” As stated here by Aleka Thrash, a former enrollment counselor for Cornerstone University, being productive and getting work done early means you get more time to relax and have your own freedom. I realized this on my own and it was really highlighted during online schooling. Getting your work done early, means more free time and a lot less stress.

How Do You Manage Productivity?

Make your work your priority, as you’re more inclined to get farther if you strive for completion. Whether it be that last paper for school or a project needed for work…if you make it important to you, it will be completed. Finishing your homework, for example, is a lot easier to manage if you’re productive and finish it all when it is assigned to you. While you may get overwhelmed in the moment, getting caught up now saves you from being even more overwhelmed in the future when everything is backed up. I also found that taking breaks every so often helps me get back on track. Don’t spend all day doing homework and give yourself a chance to take a breather.

How Can Being Productive Help Other People?

You being productive not only helps you, but the people around you, so keep that in mind the next time you push off writing an essay. “A lot of people confuse being busy with being productive. I’m not encouraging you to fill your day with a ton of work because if you did, you’d probably focus on checking off a list instead of thinking about what you’re actually doing. There’s an art to productivity, and if you look at it from the perspective of how you can be helpful to others, you’ll find it can be very rewarding”. To summarize what’s being stated here, by John Hall, a Senior Contributor, finishing tasks is efficient in working with other people.

How Can You Make Yourself Be Productive?

Rarely do we get inspired sitting behind our desks. We get inspired by life. By our friends, travel, reading, exploring new places and trying new things. Part of living a productive life is allowing room for play. Room for new experiences. Room for inspiration and ideas to come to you” As stated here, by Sara at An Independent Maven, a lot of the time, productivity has to be found. Exposing yourself to the things that inspire you can help you find that productivity. How do you find inspiration? Sometimes, taking a walk and changing up your scenery can be inspiring, it also helps to clear your mind for when you need a refresh.
