Tip #1) Accountability

You must hold yourself accountable for your actions and your school work. One huge part of school is your grades. Don’t go blaming your teachers for your grade because you’re the one who earned the grade. Teachers appreciate when you’re honest with them.

Tip #2) Sports/Clubs

Sports/clubs are an important part of high school. They allow students to express themselves by doing the things they love. Being an athlete or in a club could be used as extra motivation to try harder in school. Clubs and sports are an extension of yourself they’re fun and a great way to meet new people and make new friends. There isn’t always a need to join but look and see there might be something you may enjoy.

Tip #3) Be Yourself

Becoming a high schooler can be hard and it can cause changes in your personality. Like many high schoolers, you could have a different persona at school compared to home. You should act like yourself at school, you shouldn’t care what others think, as long as you like yourself there is no need to change.

Tip #4) Find GOOD friends

There’s a huge variety of people at school who have their own interests and hobbies. It should be one of your goals to make friends who are supportive and kind and the type of people you can lean on. While you’re looking for good friends you yourself should be a good friend, treat others how you want to be treated.
