First Tennis Home Game of the Season!
The PVHS tennis team is back in action for their first home game of the season.
As the new school year comes back into action, so do fall sports such as tennis. Tennis had their first home game against Virgin Valley High School. Unfortunately, we came up short when all the points were counted together. Virgin Valley is a tough school and is very competitive in its sports teams. “Coming together as one, I feel like we could all focus more on what we need to do as a team to pull out a win,” says James DelaRos, a teammate and also the coach’s son, who has high hopes for the team this year and is really excited to work hard to go to state and pull out more wins for the season.
As for the team, they are very confident in their skills and have a very hopeful mindset going into the new season. On the student side of things, I am very excited to watch this team progress and get better as the year goes on.
Their next game against Medows High School, sadly, did not do as well as we were hoping for. Boys and girls lost each match they played that night due to some of the players not feeling 100% health-wise. With the hardship, the team is looking forward to working even harder for their next match tomorrow against Adelson high school.
