Holiday Mayhem Has Arrived
With Thanksgiving and Christmas being some of the biggest holidays of the year this can cause a lot of pressure for everyone this time of year.
The holiday season brings joy to families and friends all around, it brings the family together and always helps us realize our blessings and what we are thankful for. But for many, the holiday season can bring pressure and stress, not only with family but also pressure of what to get everyone. This year has brought many challenges to families with inflation being through the roof and trying to decide how to save but also get something thoughtful without spending a fortune. Not only do the holidays bring stress with money but it causes people to feel more obligated to their families and to work around other people’s schedules. If you are traveling during the holidays it can be challenging to get a plane ticket or even drive when roads are backed up, not to mention inclement weather. But this year, people are more stressed about gas prices. If you decide to drive gas prices are at an all-time high, and plane tickets are above the norm. If you are flying with a family, this cost can be unmanageable. For parents, this can be stressful on what to get their children if they are not good at giving gifts or if they don’t give you a lot of different ideas or a list. Some families only give gifts to the kids of the family but if your family gives gifts to everyone and close friends this can bring pressure on what to get them and if it will be useful and thoughtful while also making sure they don’t already have that item. The holiday season brings a lot of stress but it is important to stay positive and remember what this time of year is all about.
