Israel and Palestine’s conflict has been going on for a very long time and they are still trying to resolve their conflict. The conflict started in 1948 because the Arabs intended to block the Partition Resolution and prevent the Jewish state from establishing itself. The Jews intended to gain control over the territory that was given to them under the Partition Resolution. The result of this war was that Israel won and claimed all the land that the UN proposed for the Jewish state. After this war, Egypt and Jordan reclaimed control over the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Israel and Palestine fighting didn’t end until a ceasefire armistice agreement in 1949 due to all the casualties. Israel and Arab states did not come to an armistice agreement until February. The All-Palestine Government was declared by the Arab League on September 22, 1948. The Arab-Israeli War resulted in an ethnic cleansing of 750,0000 Palestinian Arabs. The Israel and Palestine conflict continues until 2023 and it still doesn’t have an end.
The Israel And Palestine conflict has continued for almost a century. Another war started on October 7, 2023, the war started when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel. Hamas set this surprise attack because Israel and Palestine have had a long period of violent conflict against each other. They did this because Israel has been at war with Palestine’s Sunni Islamist group Hamas which is a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization. Due to the attack, more than 1,200 Israelis and foreign nationals were killed and Hamas and other groups took 251 people as hostages. Iran has supported Hamas for decades, but the Office of the Director of National Intelligence stated in February 2024 that “Iran Leaders did not orchestrate nor know of” the attack. The conflict has resulted in major problems for U.S. policymakers. Since the attack, Israel has declared war on Hamas.
More than 46,000 Palestinian deaths have been reported in Gaza because of the Hamas-controlled health ministry. The Biden administration has provided political and material support for the Israeli effort to the Hamas rule in Gaza and to secure the return of all the 251 hostages that Hamas has captured. The U.S. started to send munitions and weapons over to Israel to support them and later in April, the president’s request for an Israel fund and global humanitarian assistance was approved. U.S. officials have started to talk to Israel, Palestine, and some Arab leaders to plan for a transition for governance and security in Gaza.
Israel and Palestine have had a conflict since 1948 and to this day they have started a war that began October 7, 2023, while still looking for a solution to end the devastating war. Israel and Palestine’s solution might take a while to figure itself out but they will continue to keep on trying because the Israel and Palestine conflict has been causing thousands of faculties.
