Art For Recovery is an art auction sale and dinner in Pahrump and they are hosting their 3rd annual event on March 8th, 2025. All money being made from the auctions goes to substance abuse treatment and recovery programs, as well as other charities. Plenty of people go out of their way to make beautiful, funny, or maybe even just outright crazy art for people to buy. Then while people are buying the paintings, they can enjoy the great dinner provided as well. The whole event is to make donations to those struggling with drug abuse or recovery and to buy some fun art. These events have helped a tremendous amount of people to get and stay on the right path and away from substance abuse.
Additionally, the auction is not the only way Art For Recovery makes money from donations. To participate in the auction, an individual must pay $75 to get in. Another option is the sponsorship table for a whole $700. The perks of the sponsorship table include: eight dinner tickets, preferred table location, recognition of group/company/organization/family sponsorship, recognition of sponsorship level participation through advertising and marketing, and guarantee that all 8 or fewer members are seated next to one another. The many sponsors of the auction can vary to many different companies that are willing to help participate and support the auction. With these contributions, it creates more money to be able to donate to the recovery programs and charities. Everything that goes into the auction, whether it’s the sponsors, the dinner, or just the paintings being sold itself, each piece helps play its role to earn plenty of money for these programs.
Also, this movement didn’t just start three years ago, rather the journey to help others recover started in 2013. This journey began with one woman, Shelly Poerio, who launched her non-profit in 2013 known as Living Free. She has done a phenomenal job to grow her organization by creating two more businesses: the Living Free Cafe and the Living Free Gym. Adding onto her original treatment with these two businesses has not only helped her gain more coverage but also has given more opportunities for people to do better and achieve more after recovering. Not only does Shelly provide the now annual auction for the Pahrump community to participate in, but she also has her non-profit as well as two branches of other helpful businesses as well. Shelly’s efforts have become a great success and continue to help those struggling and those recovering from substance abuse.
Overall, Art For Recovery is a fantastic way to help donate to programs and charities that help people struggling or recovering from substance abuse. This movement was started by Shelly Poerio, who first launched her non-profit in 2013, then added on with more businesses later. So if you want to help out and donate, or just want to buy some cool art and have a splendid dinner, go buy a ticket to participate in this year’s annual Art For Recovery on March 8th, 2025!
