Although JV’s game got canceled, the Varsity game was a blow out with the Trojans putting up 35 points at the end of the second quarter and ended the game with a final score of 56-14.

Going into their second game of the season, the Trojans were ready to work hard and win, and it showed. “Going into this game I was thinking we were going to come in with the same mentality… we were going to come in and set the tone.” Said the starting quarterback Kayne Horibe. Going into the third quarter, the Trojans started off with a rushing touchdown and a successful PAT. But this is when Chaparral started giving the Trojans some problems, but in true Trojans fashion they overcame them. “The team we played did have some challenges with their passing plays, and we overcame that by our defensive coordinator changing our format.” Stated wide receiver, Ryan Hamlin. But these challenges just showed how well the Trojans could adapt and learn from their mistakes because the Trojans pushed back with another touchdown,a PAT, and two interceptions going into the fourth quarter with 49-14. Going into the fourth quarter, the Trojans were ahead and had the win in the bag. But they still came in strong with another rushing touchdown and a successful PAT. The Trojans held on with the final score at 56-14.
The Trojans played an amazing game. They worked well as a team and overall they worked hard for this. It was an enjoyable game for everyone watching and even for the players “I was excited, it was my first home game of senior year… It was fun being on the sidelines with my friends and doing silly stuff.” Says the DE/OG Jack Walker. Overall, this game was a total confidence booster for the Trojans. After coming off of another win the Trojans kept that streak going against Chaparral. “Yea it was a confidence booster, even though they were a lower team, games like this will help us learn for when we go up against bigger teams like Virgin Valley and Moapa.” Stated Kayne Horibe. The Trojans started their season off 2-0 and ready to keep winning. If you want to keep up with the Trojans and their winning streak, stop by their next game and support them.
