Derek Burnett is a freshman and Journalism II student at Pahrump Valley High School. He doesn’t really know what he wants to be when he grows up; all he knows is that he wants to do something that makes a difference. He plans to focus on getting good grades, and then he will figure out the rest later. He also really loves to travel. He doesn’t know what he is going to do in the future; all he knows is that eventually he will travel a ton of places, hopefully with his family. Since he also loves food, he will try so many foods. He also loves playing basketball. He knows realistically he won’t be able to make a career out of playing basketball, but if he could, that would definitely be his dream job.
