Fighting Till The End

Basketball has had a rocky start to their season, with their record currently being 4-9, however they still have 12 league games to play in hopes to improve their record.  With multiple seniors graduating last year, it has slightly affected the outcome on the court. They also have a limited number of players, only 10 athletes made the team. This can make it challenging when it comes to athletes being ineligible to play.

I spoke with senior and team captain  Daxton Whittle who has much knowledge about the game. He stated, “I feel that we have a lot of work to do but each game we are getting better.” A few of the games they have played have been challenging, but after talking to multiple players, they all agreed those games have helped improve the team. If the boys want a shot at State, they know they must compete hard in their upcoming games. Their next game is an away game and they will face Moapa Valley High School at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 11th.  The next home game will take place on Friday, January 13th at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be sold for $5.
