This year’s JV girl’s volleyball team is mixed with fresh talent and experienced players, making a dynamic unit on the court. All of their intense practices and strategic game plans finally paid off, with the team securing several victories against tough opponents. Since they are able to effectively communicate with each other during games and practices it has been a big part of their success.
The community has been very supportive, with parents, teachers, and even fellow students coming together and to games to support and encourage the team. This support has not only boosted the player’s morale, but it has also boosted the school spirit within the Pahrump Valley High School student body. With this it has created a strong sense of pride and unity within the school. The volleyball team continues to strive for greatness and also has aimed to wrap up this season on a high note and set a strong foundation for future success which they have achieved.
With this season coming to an end the coach and a few players were interviewed on the success of this team. Nala Dalton, the leader of the volleyball team, has been a huge part of the team, always having a positive attitude on and off the court and continually encouraging her team to do better. Dalton stated “Our girls do have some difficulties sometimes during games or practices but it’s never anything we can’t get through together”.
Kaylyn Robinson, an amazing player, has contributed more than you can imagine, she has sacrificed so much for this team and has always tried to be the person her team deserves. Robinson is a setter for her team. She does an amazing job at her position and is admired by her teammates for the crazy plays that she would make during games. Robinson stated “I consider my team more of a family than just a sports team. Volleyball has made us all come together despite our differences”.
Although this team has some outstanding players none of their accomplishments and success wouldn’t have been possible without their amazing coach Angelica Thomassian. Thomassian has paved the way for this incredible team pushing them to their full potential and helping them better themselves as people and as young outstanding athletes. Thomassian stated“ I love coaching my girls, they show amazing dedication and effort and it’s a privilege for me to be able to coach such an amazing team”.
This team is more than just a team it’s a family all these players and the coach on the JV volleyball team have an extraordinary love for each other they always have each other backs through anything. All this information is why the Pahrump Valley Trojans JV girls volleyball team is the best JV team in our league, now go out there Trojans and go support our girls JV volleyball!
