The Warriors are not doing so well to start off this 2024-2025 season. Since they have 21 wins and 22 losses, their record sucks and a lot of people are wondering what they’re going to do. I think the biggest reason for this is because Stephen Curry is the only one on their team who averages over 20 points a game. so, in other words, Curry has no help. So the obvious way to fix this problem is that the Warriors need to make a trade for somebody good. For example, there have been rumors that Jimmy Butler is looking for another team to be traded to, and I think he would save the Warriors. But that is a big if and honestly maybe when they traded Klay Thompson that was the Warriors’ way of saying they were giving up on Curry. I mean after all why else would they trade their only other all-star for only two second-round picks even though Curry only has a few years left? The Warriors picked up two new young guys for their all-star just might be the Warriors’ way of saying they are giving up on Curry. But for people who still have hope for Curry the Warriors still really could bring the season around if they get somebody else that’s good. I think all the Warriors need is to get somebody to average thirty or at least twenty points only because Curry simply can’t carry the team by himself anymore, he needs help.
Now who could this mystery player be? Well to know this we need to look at anybody good this season and by that, I mean somebody averaging twenty-five points and up. Then we need to see if they have problems with their team or teammates and it would be preferred if they were on the West Coast since that’s the side the Warriors are on. Honestly, there are a couple of players that fit the bill a little bit like Zach Lavine, Bradon Ingram, and Jimmy Butler but the only problem is that these players won’t want to come to the Warriors. They have no reason to since these guys can’t play a support role because anybody that goes to the Warriors at this point knows that they’re just gonna be built around Curry and that might be the problem. So the question is what are the Warriors going to do to save them and honestly, I think it would be best to let Curry go. Before it was all about building around their star and they did that perfectly with Klay but now that Klay is gone and Curry is getting old it is getting harder and harder for the Warriors to find someone to fill in that support role.
The Warriors dynasty doesn’t have to be over but Curry’s dynasty does. That also basically means I don’t think the Warriors are gonna get very far this season. But they do still have hope. I mean they could still trade Curry for a promising young player for next season. Also, next season will have a really stacked draft class so they could always trade Curry for a first-round pick. With that first-round pick, they could grab a future star just like they did with Curry and then build their team around them. In conclusion, I believe that if the Warriors want any hope for another ring they need to forget about Curry and focus on a new star.
