On march 27th, 2026 Duke university played St john’s university to advance to the elite eight. The game took place in Washington, D.C., at 7:10 pm.
Duke and St John’s both played an exceptional game, but St John’s wasn’t able to come out on top, losing by 5 points. Isaiah Evans (sophomore guard/forward for the Duke Blue Devils) had a great start, scoring the first point of the game, setting him up to score 25 out of the 80 points scored in total. Isaiah’s teammate, Cameron Boozer, who also played a good game scoring 22 points in the game. At halftime St John’s was up 40 and Duke university down one point ending the first half of the game 40-39. To start the second half Cameron Boozer scores the first point for duke. And then the game continued scoring point for point with each other until Duke started to take off and Duke just had the better game plan and executed, winning the game 80-75. Top scores for Duke were Isaiah Evans, and Cameron Boozer. Top scorers for St John’s were Zuby Ejiofor led St. John’s with 17 points, And Bryce Hopkins with 15 points.

Both teams put up a fight but Duke was just better that night. St John’s had a good tournament reaching the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1999. They defeated Northern Iowa and Kansas before being eliminated by Duke. Duke is moving on to the elite eight. Don’t forget to watch and go support the blue devils.
