Pahrump Valley High School students love animals. Many students have pets that range from lizards to birds, and much more. However, when it comes to cats and dogs, there’s always speculation on which is the better pet. Many have tried to come to an overall conclusion for each side; some say that cats are quiet and low maintenance, making them the superior pets, but others argue that dogs are much more loyal and loving than cats, making them much better. It’s time that PVHS student Khalan Thunderwolf takes a swing at answering this question for himself and possibly others.
Cats and dogs are widely debated to be the best pets one can have. However, Khalan Thunderwolf claims dogs are more loyal pets. Thunderwolf personally prefers dogs for many reasons. He said, “I like how cute the smaller dogs are, but depending on the cat, I think cats are cuter than dogs, but in the end, I prefer dogs because they can guard the house better than any cat.” Thunderwolf’s opinion was one.

Additionally, Thunderwolf also mentioned a couple of outstanding reasons that cats are superior to dogs. He shared, “Cats are definitely better cuddle buddies. Cats, unlike dogs, don’t really mind being cuddled, but dogs have a harder time staying still, and are really loud.” This statement demonstrates that cats also have many outstanding qualities. Cats are great cuddle buddies, good friends, and very lovable little animals. The question of which pet is better will never be truly answered. This means that people are free to say which they prefer and why.

Ultimately, a dog and a cat both have their benefits and their downsides, which leaves the question of which pet is most suitable for you. Both cats and dogs are widely loved and appreciated, which means that there will never be a better pet. So, love your pet and express your feelings because in the end, it’s your opinion.
