On March 20, 2026, Luke Combs dropped a new album: “The Way I Am.” The album is celebrated with the “My Kind Of Saturday Night” tour, leading off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The concert brought many themes of modern country, heartfelt love, and a young perspective from Ty Myers! The first show began on March 21, setting a record of over 70,000 fans in the audience!
Twenty-two tracks were released on Luke Combs’ latest album, “The Way I Am”. Combs uses topics of blue-collar life in his music with hints to show what it’s like to be a man. According to Combs, he has to earn his fans through his sense of taste in his music, rather other than his looks. His music allows people to realize that it’s okay to have a regular life and to always take pride in it.

Pahrump Valley High School freshmen Kylee Lusk said, “Luke Combs makes me feel heard when I listen to him, and his words are especially meaningful. I love how Combs has an amazing voice while not being afraid to show all of the emotions in his music. My favorite song by him is ‘Better Together’ because I love how all of the words come together to find the true meaning behind it.” Combs’ music helps people be themselves and embraces his music. Three fan favorites in particular, “Sleepless In A Hotel Room,” “Be By You”, and “Days Like These” have helped put the album to number one on the top Country Songs Charts as of March 2026. These tracks, and many more, are now frequently in the top 10 on the country music charts.
Ty Myers, being only 19 years old, was Combs’ support system through the tour, acting as the opener for the tour. He brings innumerable themes such as young love, growing up quickly, loneliness, and a big take on emotional heartbreak. Lusk says, “I know Ty Myers has put so much time into developing himself into the successful man he is today. He is my favorite artist to listen to, and the song ‘Stay’ is the best overall, and I love the meanings all over the song.”

Myers has been a popular artist for the youthful teens at Pahrump Valley High School freshman Emree Rash says, “I enjoy Ty Myers because his music collaborates with my own life, and he has an outstanding voice while being severely popular. My favorite song by him is ‘Drinkin’Alone,’ and I think this because it’s a slow-paced song with immeasurable effects of emotions.”
This collaboration has brought Combs and Myers closer while thinking of each other as an inspiration and a “Brother.” Myers thought this opportunity was a major honor with hints of Combs’ headline performances and performing in front of massive crowds.
Ultimately, this collaboration between Myers and Combs has proven that natural storytelling remains the heart of country music. With blends of raw emotions and hard life experiences, both artists have come a long way to leave a lasting impact on their listeners. Next time you go to listen to their music, don’t forget to look for the true meaning behind the lyrics and not just the cover.
