JV Trojans Softball went to Moapa Valley, ready to take over; the girls did so with steady defense, being ready, and exceeding greatness.
Moapa was on defense during the first inning, and Trojans on offense. There was a rough start getting used to the pitcher’s slow speed. The Trojans only scored one run that inning., Trojans let no runs score on their time at defense allowing them to obtain more hits.
This round of offense, in the second inning, three runs were scored. The Trojans were getting used to the pitching, making their hitting better each round of offense.
Again, the Trojans allowed no runs for Moapa, offensively the Trojans got 11 runs making the score be 15-0 for now. Moapa got a pop up in right field, but the ball wasn’t caught, unfortunately that caused a run for Moapa, although that didn’t stop the Trojans from picking their right fielder up and getting three outs.
The Trojans, ready to go home, finished their last at bat with four runs. The last round of defense for the Trojans led to Moapa gaining a run, but ball game was called after their success in getting the final three outs. The final score of the game was 19-2, giving the Trojans an excellent win against Moapa.
The Trojans originally had a home game, but due to some changes, the Trojans had to travel. The Trojans have been grinding since day one, making their team hard to beat. Everyday at practice new skills are developed or perfected with their coaching staff being there for them. They grind even harder day by day, getting ready to peak at their final games.
