Offensively, one of the Trojans’ primary goals was to produce solid, well-earned hits against a varsity pitcher. The Trojans rose to the occasion as they ended the game with 12 hits, eight RBI’s, and a total batting average of .500 for the game. Their disciplined approach at the plate and ability to capitalize on opportunities played a key role in securing the narrow 15–14 victory.
Defensively, the Trojans have focused all season on consistency and communication. Going against varsity competitors was a great way to experience the type of defense needed at the varsity level. Their effort in this game reflected growth and a commitment to improvement.
