Pahrump Valley High School’s student council had announced that this 2026 school year the prom theme is going to be Met Gala! Prom tickets had started being sold on March 23, 2026. You can purchase the tickets at either first or second lunch, but tickets will only be purchased using cash.

Many juniors and seniors look forward to prom. It’s a dance that represents coming-of-age, the shift into adulthood, and the celebration of their high school journey ending. So why not tell everyone what PVHS decided to do for their prom; this year prom will be happening on April 25th 2026 from 6:30pm to 10pm at PVHS.

Carlos Lindekugel, one of the student council members, mentioned that the reason student council wanted the theme to be Met Gala is because they wanted everyone to go all out for their prom outfits and want it to be strictly formal. During week one, March 23rd-27th, tickets were being sold for $20, then the price goes up $10 each week until three days before prom actually happens. So, March 30th to April 3rd tickets will be $30; from April 13th-17th, they will be $40; then the final week of selling tickets they will be $50. Also, keep in mind only juniors and seniors can attend prom; If you would like to bring along another person to prom as your date, you have to get a permission slip signed at the office. 

Now, prom won’t just be a dance with some snacks. Student council did something very special for you junior and seniors. They have decided to get a photo booth with unlimited photos so you can have as many prom photos you want right away. 

There will also be a DJ along with the photo booth, so you can dance your heart out. Lindekugel stated, “We will be having a wide variety of music ranging through all genres of music, pop, rock, country, and some slow music for all the couples.” Let’s also not forget their food options this year. StuCo mentioned that they will serve chicken tenders, fruits, little subs, and of course amazing dessert options. The options for drinks are stated to be “even better than last year’s options”, with them giving out dirty sodas and mocktails to fit the prom’s high end theme.

So juniors and seniors, if chicken tenders and delicious desserts don’t convince you to go to prom, then I don’t know what would! Prom 2026 will be like no other, so, with that information, go buy a prom ticket while they’re still selling and have lots of funs with either a significant other or friends, maybe even both.
