Pahrump Valley High School students, Addie Allen and Zachery LeBlanc, had set up a GoFundMe so they could attend the Thespian Festival in Bloomington, Indiana. Allen and LeBlanc mentioned the reason they wanted to attend this festival is because of the opportunities they could possibly have along with the knowledge they could obtain while at this festival happening on June 22nd-27th, 2026.
LeBlanc had mentioned that he was ecstatic about going to the festival because of how many opportunities he could have but also the opportunities Allen could have as well. He had mentioned, “We decided to do it because we know it could further our understanding in acting in multiple different aspects, and it will help us achieve more diversity in acting as well.” Due to all of the workshops that will be happening at the festival, they will hopefully grasp a better understanding of the diversity in acting. Now, LaBlanc isn’t the only one jumping with joy about the Thespian estival; Allen was happy about the fact she can luckily go to this festival stating, “We could get many job offers there and meeting different agents for different possibilities in acting, along with experience different parts of acting we haven’t learned about.”

But what even is the Thespian festival about? The Thespian Festival, happening in Bloomington, Indiana this June from the 22nd through the 27th, is a festival for students to explore the world of drama and acting. The festival holds over 100 workshops and main stage productions for the students attending to enjoy throughout the time they’re there. The workshops cover different parts of acting that the student may or may not know about yet, so it could potentially help them learn different techniques.

Allen and LaBlanc did mention that they were going to be the only two from PVHS going to this festival due to the fact that the two other students, Luigi DeAngelis and Kylee Siegmund, are attending another trip instead of the thespian event. Along with that, Dr. Duvall, the drama teacher/drama director, will also not be able to attend sadly, so they will attend with Virgin Valley High School as their chaperone.
Allen and LeBlanc are both very passionate about their roles in the theatre in PVHS and their future within drama and theatre. Soon, they will perform in front of judges, learn more, and engage with people left and right. To get there, they need help with funds. They have a GoFundMe, if you can, please help them out!
