Review of December Holiday Concert

The Holiday Concert for Pahrump Valley High School on December 6th and 8th was amazing. Mr. Wineski worked hard to prepare the students and they seemed more than ready. There were many group pieces as well as handfuls of solo artist.
Mr. Wineski said that some of the pieces were worked on from the second week of school and others were worked on only a week before the concert. When asked which performance was his favorite, either band or choir, he said, “I can’t choose. I enjoyed both!”
Overall the entire music program should be proud of themselves because they did a great job. My personal favorite song was “What’s this?” from The Nightmare Before Christmas performed by Reagan Addams.
Mr.Wineski says, “I was very proud on how they performed. They did a great job.”
Heather Edwards a PVHS senior in Select Choir said, “I believe the performance went really well and my favorite part of our performance was when we sang Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy.”
Both concerts went very well, the PVHS music students have worked really hard on their performances.

I completely agree that both music programs “worked really hard on their performances.” As a member of mixed choir, I can confirm that we have to work to read, sing, study, and memorize multiple things of music in a hour every day (this is especially true with the shorter classes this year, we have to work even harder than last year), but it pays off when we do a performance that the audience loves.
