Pahrump Valley High School’s girls’ soccer team had an away tournament with a successful outcome.

The roster of 17 traveled up to Spring Creek, Nevada for a 2-day tournament. They had a fortunate weekend that ended up with 4 wins. They played Elko High School for their first game, where they won 2-0. They then played Spring Creek, North Tahoe, and ended their weekend with a 5-1 win against Fallon. They ended the tournament with 4 wins, 12 goals for, and 1 goal against

Avery Moore, a junior who plays goalkeeper for the team said “One thing we need to work on is communication, we need to do better with that.“ Although the girls had an outstanding weekend, there is always room for improvement. This tournament helped the girls realize some weaknesses they need to improve for their season. 

The PVHS girls’ soccer team is coming back to defend their title of being state champions from the 21-22 season. They are excited about the season and believe that with hard work and dedication, they will be able to maintain another state championship title.
